I'm sure you don't intend to st...Hi, John. I'm sure you don't intend to start a debate about gun ownership here. May I just mention (as someone who's never owned a gun, btw) that it clearly is not just a matter of the presence of guns? I live in North Dakota, which I take it has one of the highest rates of gun ownership in the country, and not only deer or pheasant rifles, etc. It is also one of the safest states. I suspect that many North Dakotans (like myself) don't even lock our houses when we are away for a few hours. <br /><br />Thus I really would have a hard time supporting legislation that would take guns out of the hands of my neighbors -- my friends and colleagues.
